today I read an interesting blog article. I’ll link to it below so you can read it for yourself, but basically someone built a charger to install militias software on the iOS device when a charger is plugged in to the iOS device. Frankly I’m a bit scaptel but this proves that we need to watch out and for now only use chargers from apple and griffin technologies. Here is an excerpt from the blog.
“This approach uses a charger that looks like a standard charger, but has malicious software on it. When an iOS device is plugged into the charger, an attacker can bypass iOS defense mechanisms and compromise a device within one minute of it being plugged in. ”
So even though I’m skeptical, I urge those of you that are not to be very very careful!

I love my iPhone. I don’t’ own an iPad so there. Heha. Anyways I want to say I also have one thing that most iOS devices owners don’t want to have and that is Gadget Insurance Even though I get mine via apple care plus, there are many sites like the one linked to where you can do this. I should also mention I’m visually impaired and use my iOS device on a daily bases. So insurance for me is a very good thing. If you want to know how I use my phone as a VI person look at my podcast blog for more info. I do several demos therein. Enjoy.
