In this episode I go over the iOs app overcast. I discuss the good and bad and just plain ugly regarding the app. For example, focus is lost a lot when using voiceover, at least on my iPhone 6 running iOs 9.2.1. Also, at least in the version I'm using, which is the latest at the time of this recording, the download option is missing per episode. I also don't like the fact I have to apply my actions to 1 episode at a time. I have to delete twenty-four hundred episodes from my download queue and swiping down to delete is not fun that many times. If you have any questions please contact the developer from their website. You can also log in to that website using your overcast info and view and listen to your podcasts from anywhere. They also have a twitter account, however I have not received any answers from them via twitter @OvercastFM or their email form which can be found on their contact page. Feel free to share this podcast. Any comments and suggestions are more then welcome.

Hello to all. I’d like to intro this by referring back to a post I did earlier on the jetpack plugin.. I’d mentioned some changes needed to be made to the sharing part of the plugin to make it more user friendly. I demonstrate this in a youtube video which can be found here.
In speaking to the jetpack team and showing them what needed to be done about a month ago (the video how ever was created today) they explained to me what was going on and how to proceed. Here is my video response.
I’d like to thank the jetpack team for working so hard to make this possible for us blind and visual impaired users. who use the jetpack plugin on their blogs. Feel free to play with the share buttons on every post you want to share now.
your feedback is most welcome. Feel free to leave it on the comments, or email me direct using the feedback form.
Hello to all. This morning, or maybe it was last night, apple released ios7.1. I was going over the changes on the applevis blog and I noticed some oddities. One of them though is very annoying and hope it can be fixed.
The bluetooth keyboard that you use may generate odd looking characters that look like IPA symbols or even cr (carriage returns). Restarting the keyboard works, how ever when you switch windows the bug might or might not crop up again.
I reported this bug to apple in early october or november and as of yet it has not been fixed. They did say the were working on a fix, so we will see in the next minor release if this happens.
Does this bug happen to you? if so what is your work around? Post comments or email me feedback on this post using the form below. Thanks all.
